Liberty Landing State Park
Finn stays in the Hudson River on the Morris Canal at the north end of Liberty State Park. Liberty State Park is without a doubt one of the country's most dramatic parks. It has a sweeping view of the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River
It is located just off the New Jersey Turnpike at exit 14B.
It is set right behind Liberty Island. Here, from 1892 through 1954, the Statue of Liberty welcomed immigrants from northern, southern and eastern European countries, among others, into the United States.
After being greeted by the Statue of Liberty and processed at Ellis Island, these immigrants purchased tickets and boarded trains at the Central Railroad of New Jersey (CRRNJ) Terminal that took them to their new homes throughout the United States
The Liberty Science Center is located near the entrance to the park. It is an exciting, interactive, children's science museum, with exhibits on inventions, health technology and the environment. There is also a huge IMAX dome theater.
There are also
36 acres of natural area including one of the few remnant tidal salt marshes within the Hudson River estuary, which is a habitat for numerous migratory birds
environmental and historical exhibits that focus on the changing Hudson River and the surrounding area
a new outdoor performance area, where Wynton Marsalis, Andrea Bocelli, and soon the Cirque Du Soleil perform
most importantly to John and Jennifer, there are miles of running paths that are mostly free of traffic and have year-round water fountains.
